Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed on TV and in films is well known for movies like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career from a young age. By the time she turned 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of shows on television. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall the role she played as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also highly praised. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated features featuring the divas. Alexandra is engaged in numerous noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These projects included British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
